Călătorie în timp, pe urmele celebrelor jocuri video! Este posibil la muzeul dedicat de la Reșița

Muzeul Jocurilor Video – o inițiativă privată, condusă de Andrei Bălbărău, dedicată istoriei și evoluției jocurilor video pe toate platformele. Muzeul se află în Universitatea „Eftimie Murgu”. Ce se poate găsi în acest loc unic? Exponatele care acoperă o perioadă din 1976 până în prezent.

Andrei a colaborat cu Universitatea „Eftimie Murgu”, partenerul principal în acest proiect și, împreună cu ei, a decis să amplaseze muzeul chiar în incinta universității. În muzeu se pot găsi aparate arcade din trecut, dar și o mulțime de piese care arată evoluția consolelor de jocuri, chiar și cele portabile. Vizitatorii pot vedea modul prin care designul gamepad-urilor, și nu numai, a progresat de-a lungul anilor.

Întrebat care este cea mai mare comoară a muzeului, a răspuns astfel: „Cred că poate nu pentru valoare, ci pentru importanță este un GameBoy cu camera GameBoy ce vă permite să faceți fotografii. De asemenea, avem imprimanta GameBoy cu care puteți imprima fotografiile făcute cu camera GameBoy. Jocurile arcade ce au o grafică dedicată sau un joc dedicat. Sunt mai multe, aș spune, unice și sunt greu de găsit. Ceea ce poate nu sunt atât de valoroase, dar sunt interesante, sunt și clonele false. De exemplu, clona consolei PS3”.

Muzeul Jocurilor Video este un loc în care trecutul se întâlnește cu prezentul. Nu numai că puteți observa și învăța despre istoria jocurilor, dar dacă doriți să vă distrați, sunteți binevenit să jucați. L-am întrebat pe Andrei dacă are planuri pentru dezvoltarea Muzeului Jocurilor Video. „Da, în acest moment, lucrez la prezentarea muzeului cât mai mult posibil. Doar 60% din colecție este prezentată în muzeu. Lucrez la găsirea unei modalități de a expune toată colecția. Aș dori în viitor să extind expoziția în altă cameră și să găsesc mai multe dulapuri arcade de adus și prezentat, dar și de reparat”, spuse el.

Going back in time and playing some games – it’s possible in Muzeul Jocurilor Video

Muzeul Jocurilor Video – a private initiative, ran by Andrei Bălbărău, dedicated to the history and evolution of video games on all platforms. The museum is located in the Eftimie Murgu University, on Str. Traian Vuia, in Reșița. What can one find in this one of a kind place? The exhibits that cover a period from 1976 to the present.

Andrei collaborated with the Eftimie Murgu University, the crucial partner in this project, and together with them, he decided to locate the museum just right there. There one can find arcade cabinets from the past, but also plenty of pieces that show the evolution of game consoles – the portable ones as well. The visitors can get to know how the design of gamepads, and not only, has progressed over the years.

Andrei, when asked what the biggest treasure of the museum is, said: “I think that maybe not for the value, but the importance, it’s going to be a GameBoy with the GameBoy camera. It allows you to take pictures. We also have the GameBoy printer – you can print the picture you’ve taken. Also, the big arcade cabinets that have a dedicated graphic or a dedicated game. They are more, I’d say, unique, and are hard to find. What is maybe not so valuable, but interesting, are also fake clones. For example, the clone of the PS3 console”.

Muzeul Jocurilor Video is a place where the past meets the present. Not only can you observe and learn about the history of games, but if you desire to have some fun, you are welcome to play. Old arcade cabinets, Nintendo and Atari consoles from a few years ago are waiting to come back to life. The games? River Raid, Pong or Mario, and much more.

We asked Andrei whether he has any plans for developing Muzeul Jocurilor Video for now. “Yes. At the moment, I’m working on presenting as much as possible. Maybe only 60% of the collection is currently shown in the museum. I’m working on finding the way to bring everything and put it on the walls, or something like that. I’d like in the future to maybe extend the exhibition to another room and find more arcade cabinets to bring, and present, but also to repair”, he said.
