Relația de prietenie dintre Reșița și Bielefeld

Strada Bielefeld din Reșița poartă numele unui oraș din vestul Germaniei. În această cetate, există și „Reschitzastraße”. Numele acestor străzi sunt folosite pentru a sublinia prietenia dintre cele două orașe.

Din 1989 existau deja contacte private între oamenii din Bielefeld și Reșița. Acest lucru s-a întâmplat deoarece unul dintre locuitorii din Bielefeld – Brake – s-a născut la Reșița. Brake este un cartier al orașului Bielefeld. Antrenorul de handbal al „Tus Brake”, Anton Ferenschütz, s-a născut în regiunea Banatului.

În 1990, el și clubul său de handbal au adunat bani pentru oamenii din Reșița. În mai, șapte camioane au plecat de la Bielefeld la Reșița. Camioanele erau pline de rechizite, haine şi medicamente pentru spitale sau casele de copii. După aceea, cei de la Brake au adunat mai multe. Acesta este motivul pentru care au existat mai multe camioane în noiembrie.

În 1991, ambele orașe au semnat un certificat de prietenie. De atunci, au existat mai multe schimburi pe diferite subiecte. Schimbul economic a fost important, dar și schimbul cultural. Artiștii din Reșița au mers de ziua sărbătorii la Bielefeld. De asemenea, aproximativ 50 de copii români au mers la Bielefeld pentru vacanța de vară.

Acest parteneriat există numai datorită lui Anton Ferenschütz. De asemenea, acesta a fost pictor și a pictat tablouri cu peisaje din Bielefeld. Artistul a primit Premiul Alexander Tietz în 2018 și a fost declarat cetățean de onoare al orașului Reșița.

În prezent, cele două orașe nu colaborează la fel de mult ca până acum, dar există încă amintirea prieteniei datorită celor două străzi – strada Bielefeld și Reschitzastraße.

The Relation Between Reşiţa and Bielefeld

The “Strada Bielefeld” is named after a city in western Germany. In this city, there is also the “Reschitzastraße”. The names of these streets are used to underline the friendship of the two cities.

Since 1989 there were already private contacts between people from Bielefeld and Resita. This happened, because one of the residents of Bielefeld, Brake was born in Resita. Brake is a city district of Bielefeld. The handball trainer of the “Tus Brake” Anton Ferenschütz was born in the region of Banat.

In 1990 he and his handball club collected money for the people in Resita. In May, seven trucks went from Bielefeld to Resita. The trucks were full of relief supplies for the hospitals or the children’s homes, such as clothes or medicaments. After, the people from Brake collected more. This is the reason why there were more trucks in November.

In 1991 both cities signed a certificate of friendship. Since then, there were more exchanges on different topics. The economic exchange was important, but also cultural exchange. Artists from Resita went for celebration day to Bielefeld. Besides this, about 50 Romanian children went to Bielefeld for their summer holidays.

This partnership only exists thanks to Anton Ferenschütz. He was also a painter and painted pictures from Bielefeld. The artist was awarded the Alexander Tietz price in 2018 and declared as an honorary citizen of the city Resita.

Nowadays, the two cities do not collaborate that much, as before, but there is still the memory of friendship thanks to the two streets “Strada Bielefeld” and “Reschitzastraße”
